
Howelsen Hill is located in Steamboat Springs and is the longest-running ski area in North America. It is known for having the largest natural ski-jumping complex on the continent.

Howelsen Hill Ski Area offers two types of lift tickets: Day lift tickets and Season Pass.
Day lift tickets can be purchased by visiting the Howelsen Hill Ticket Office during regular operating hours. The ticket office is conveniently situated in the northwest corner of the parking lot near the main entrance.
Day lift ticket price range from $31-$43 (prices are subject to change). Children aged four and under can ski for free.

Howelsen Hill Season Passes allow you to ski all season long at the Howelsen Hill area as long as the ski resort is open. There are three purchase options available:

During the winter season, Howelsen Hill offers Free Skiing Sunday. To access the lifts and Nordic trails on these designated ski free days, a ticket must be obtained from the ticket office.

Howelsen Hill Ski Area is conveniently located in downtown Steamboat Springs, Colorado, which is around a 157-mile drive from Denver. On the southeast side of town, you will find the renowned Steamboat Ski Resort, which is one of the largest and most popular resorts in the state. There is also a complimentary shuttle bus service that operates between the town and Steamboat Ski Resort.
Howelsen Hill Ski Area only has one on-mountain dining option, however, the base town of Steamboat Springs offers several highly-rated restaurants.
Outrun Snack Bar offers a wide variety of affordable snacks, sandwiches, soups, and refreshing alcoholic beverages. It is conveniently located at the base of the ski hill.

There are no ski vacation packages to Howelsen Hill Ski Area as it is a small ski area owned and operated by the City of Steamboat Springs. However, there are ski vacation packages to most Colorado ski resorts, including the neighboring Steamboat Ski Resort.
The best time to ski at Howelsen Hill Ski Area is generally from December to February. This is typically when the resort sees the most of its snowfall.
There is a snack bar, small storage lockers, lost & found area, sledding hill, tubing area and a Nordic Hotline.
Unfortunately, there are no ski and snowboard lessons available at Howelsen Hill Ski Area.
