Winter Park Resort is the closest major ski resort located roughly 60 miles from Denver. The resort, offering over 3,000 acres of skiable terrain, of which nearly a third are designated beginner trails, make it one of the top-pick resort for beginners.

Winter Park Resort has several lift pass options including Day Lift Tickets, Flex Lift Tickets, and different types of Season Passes.
Day Lift Tickets are available for 1 to 5 days for all ages. It is recommended to pre-book in advance for a discounted price and to secure the spot.
Flex Lift Tickets and Midweek Flex Lift Tickets allow you to lock in the number of days you would like to ski at a discounted rate and decide the arrival date later. It is available for a 2-day,3-day or a 4-day with 2 rest days excluding holiday dates.

Winter Park Season Pass gives you unlimited days of skiing at the resort for the entire season.
Midweek Pass gives you unlimited skis or rides at Winter Park Resort Monday through Friday excluding holiday dates.
The IKON Pass offers unlimited access to 17 resorts and up to 7 days of access each at 41 destinations.
The IKON Base Pass offers unlimited access to 14 resorts and 5 days access each at 37 destinations with holiday date restrictions for some resorts.

Winter Park Ski and Snowboard School offers group and private lessons as well as ski programs.
There are also 3 types of special lessons available for skiers only. A 72-hour advanced booking is required.

Winter Park Resort has a ski town, Winter Park, located within walking distance from the resort. The Winter Park Village itself is also very convenient, located at the base of Winter Park, it features a variety of amenities, including restaurants, shops, and accommodation options.

The best snow conditions, usually from late December through February, often provide the most reliable snowfall. In terms of snowfall, historically, March tends to be the snowiest month in Colorado, making it a great time to visit if you're looking for deep powder.
